Annie Lucille Pryor, aged 96, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2024, in Ruskin, Florida, surrounded by her devoted family. Born on July 29, 1928, Annie embodied love, generosity, and kindness, and was cherished by all who knew her.

Annie spent many dedicated years as a Pharmacy Assistant at Kash N Karry before her retirement. She was a proud graduate of Wimauma High School and attended the historic Duette One-room School in her early years. Her life was a reflection of her warm spirit, her joy in homemaking, and her devotion to family and friends.

 

Renowned for her exceptional cooking, sewing, and especially her crocheted tablecloths, Annie brought beauty and comfort to those around her. She taught her family the importance of kindness, hard work, and unwavering faith. Her faith was central to her life, and she was deeply engaged in her church and community. Annie was also a proud descendant of the pioneering Hillsborough County families: Colding, Stanaland, and Taylor.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Byers, and her husband, Harry; her son, Gregory T. Easters, and his wife, Donna; six grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her brother, Elwyn Colding, and his wife, Francis; many cherished nieces and nephews; and her loving Oklahoma stepfamily.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, John Isben Colding and Mary Etta; her son, James Easters; her brothers, James Isben, Calvin, Hubert, Glenn, and Elton; and her beloved husbands, William Easters Jr. and Jerry Pryor.

​

A service to honor Annie’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, at Simmons Loop Baptist Church, located at 6610 Simmons Loop, Riverview, FL 33578. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. Annie will be laid to rest at Fellowship Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House in Ruskin, FL, in tribute to Annie’s compassionate spirit and care for others.
